“Everyday God gives us a moment in which it is possible to change everything that makes us unhappy.”

-Paulo Coelho

Mornings are like gifts
A new opportunity,
Unwrapped as we wake

A chance to transform
Into a better person
That we always dreamed

To change our view of
the world through a positive
state of acceptance

Become different
From a miserable you
Get rid of the past

Forget the nightmare
From yesterday’s adventure
Now, is a new day

An Asian mermaid lost in transition.

I live in an enchanted forest at the end of a rainbow. I have a little window in my room where I can see unicorns playing in the grass field at day and magical fairies dancing under the silvery moon at night.

  1. You have featured Paulo Coelho!!! 😀 I almost picked one of his quote too in Manuscript Found in Accra but I went with Joel Osteen. 🙂
Your poem is just so inspring my dear. 😀 Love it!

  2. Saw your post in the Writing101 Commons. Having the quote listed just before your beautiful poem is awesome! It creates this feeling of connectivity between you and the author of the quote and your reader. I also loved the line about unwrapping the gift by waking up; it paints a good image! And the line about the nightmare from yesterday, like no matter recent your nightmare is, you can still choose to be happy when you wake up.

I have no negative feedback for this post. Bravo!

i would love to hear your thoughts on my Quote assignment:

Let me know what you think 🐰
