Happy United Nations Day everyone!

We celebrated United Nations Day by doing a simple activity with flags. I came up with this idea when I saw the blocks of wood in my closet. We live beside a furniture shop, so I can get plenty of free wood scraps. 😁

BRING THE AIRPLANES HOME ACTIVITY

THINGS WE USED:
Cutout of airplanes and flags (printed in a thick paper)
Scissors
Double-sided tape
Blocks of wood

I made the airplanes with flags on Procreate and printed them in a thick paper. The flags I used were from the Philippines, the Netherlands, Suriname, Germany, Japan and USA. You can use any photos or printables.

Or you can download mine for free.

Cut the airplanes and flags, then attach the flags to the wood with a double-sided tape.
Put the airplane cutouts in a small box and place it on a tray with the blocks of wood.
Serve to play.

Niko loves airplanes. He was so excited when he saw the tray with colorful flags and planes. We tried to do the activity outside the house, but his playmates came. So, we let him play with them first. When he came home, he saw the tray and he told me that he wanted to play.

Niko identified the airplanes and flags immediately.
I love everything about this activity. I was amazed how the cutouts turned out. I think this is one of my favorite activities so far.

Let me know what you think 🐰
