I always love listening to New Wave songs.  Call it old school, but this genre puts me in a better mood.

The other night, I was singing my heart out to Wake me up before you go go by Wham! I am in love with this song! Trust me, I have it in my New Wave playlist. (And yes, I have a compilation of New Wave songs on my phone and laptop.) My Fiancé even sings it with me! Who can blame him? It’s a very catchy and upbeat song!  I can put it on repeat for days. Okay, maybe until I get tired of it or until my Fiancé whines at me to change it.

I have no idea that it was the No.1 song in the US charts on the day I was born.  Big thanks to today’s prompt! I see the connection now. 😀

I grew up listening to this music genre and every time I hear it, it makes my lazy ass move.  It gives me an upbeat feeling.  It reminds me of home, the feeling of being carefree, and it makes me remember how my father dances to the beat while carrying me in his arms.  It’s the best feeling in the world!

What was the No.1 song when you were born? Find it here: Birthdayjams
