How Pregnancy Changed My Body
I’ll be entering my 30th week this Thursday! Hooray!
I am in this phase where I easily get annoyed about everything especially with the unflattering changes happening in my body. I’m always hungry and I think I’m overeating. I kept on craving for sweets and unhealthy food! I don’t know how to stop!
My hands and feet are not swollen yet, but here are some of the changes in my body:
I admit, I have localized dark skin pigmentation especially in my underarms, nipples and groin. Now, I feel really embarrassed to wear anything that exposes my underarms.
Colleague: Your face is so round! You’re getting bigger! You will stay like that after you give birth!
How can other people make fun of my body and face? It’s like they’re celebrating that I’m getting fatter and fatter. I mean, you should NEVER say that to a pregnant woman, EVER! It feels so annoying that I am going through all these changes and yet people keeps on pointing these flaws to me!
I’m not one of those lucky few without stretchmarks! I have a lot in my belly, thighs and breasts!
My husband mentioned to me that he can see a lot of veins in my legs! I also have in my breasts area. I explained to him that those are varicose veins and they are common during pregnancy. I’m just glad they’re not spider veins… yet. Well, I really hope not.
The only compliment I ever heard while pregnant was that I’m always glowing. Maybe because I’m never stressed at all. My husband always makes sure that I am well taken care of and tries as much as possible to keep me happy.
I know that these changes in my body are really upsetting and depressing, but I’m glad that I have a very supportive husband that keeps on motivating me to enjoy my pregnant body while it lasts.
