This is the first sensory play activity that I set up for Niko at the start of the pandemic. He just turned 2 years old and I read that this kind of activity will help improve a child’s fine motor skills.
The simplest way to put a sensory bin together (especially during lockdown) is to use things that are found in your house.
RICE SCOOP AND TRANSFER WITH DINO HUNT

MATERIALS NEEDED:
2 plastic containers
Rice
2 measuring scoops
Small dinosaurs aka his favorite toys
LET THE SCOOPING BEGIN!
The moment he saw the bins, Niko immediately took the scoop and started transferring the rice. His excitement grew when he saw his little friends.

He’s a good sport. I think I would get bored quickly.
Hahaha. As long as there are dinosaurs, he can play for hours.
