Who would’ve believe that it’s already my 6th Christmas in Suriname? WOW. Like how did it happened so fast. 😀
This year is actually the first time we’re going to celebrate Noche Buena. Unlike the normal eating and sleeping on Christmas Eve, I decided to make it out of this world. I put extra effort on this because it’s Nikolaj’s first Christmas, so it’s really special for us.
Bequia is the second largest island in the Grenadines. Described by the press as “the perfect Caribbean Island”, it used to be a volcanic island. It has a yacht-filled harbor and is bordered by excellent beaches both the windward (east and south-east) and leeward (west) sides. Its capital is Port Elizabeth.
This is one of the best white beaches we had ever seen. The place is breathtaking. There is no entrance fee, but you need to inform the crew if you want to use their facilities like the pool or one of their beach beds.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is located in the southern part of the Caribbean. It is composed of 32 beautiful islands including Bequia, Mustique, Tobago Cays, Young Island, Union Island, Palm Island, Petit St. Vincent, Canouan and Mayreau.
Wallilabou Bay is one of the top places you should not miss when you are in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Aside from its scenic waterfalls, it also preserved the once famous film set of the Pirates of the Caribbean. The location was used in the opening scene of the Curse of the Black Pearl.
