I am so thankful for finally reaching week 37 with my bump!
I had my second laboratory test done and everything was good, well, except for my hemoglobin which dropped from 7.4 to 6.1, but the doctor assured me it is normal for the hemoglobin to drop when pregnant… and ehem, I’m actually not a fan of vegetables 😒 so again, she reminded me to eat my greens!
This week, the doctor made me repeat my glucose level to determine if I am at risk for gestational diabetes. I was pricked twice in just two hours. 😢 Luckily, I’m really easy to prick. I got my results and I find it funny to have a normal glucose level even after I ate, honestly, I really have a sweet tooth! (I was eating chips in the car on the way to the laboratory)
Every week (starting week 34), I have an alternate check up between my gynecologist and midwife. Yesterday, the midwife told me that the baby’s head had already lowered down my pelvis (also called dropping). That’s why I’m feeling too much pressure and pain. She gave us our admission paper and instructed us to bring it everywhere we go, in case my water breaks or if I have any bleeding/ contractions, then we can just go to the hospital anytime.
We’re almost full term and Baby K can just pop out anytime he wants. I hope it’s going to be soon. I really can’t explain what I’m feeling these past few days. I feel anxious, excited and nervous all at the same time. I always have back pain, so I prefer to stay in bed and just do nothing. I don’t even have motivation to write or do anything. I am really bored, but I can’t move a lot. I also tried doing light exercises and some short walk outside the house twice or thrice a week. It actually helped in keeping me energized in my now boring state.
