Because it’s Autumn season, the boys picked apples today. Niko sorted them by color and Nate, uhmm he preferred to drop them on the floor.

I just love the magic of the changing seasons, but we never get to experience it because we live in a tropical country. We only have sunny days and rainy days.

Apple Picking Activity plus Color Sorting

70x50cm green and black (or brown) colored papers
Green, yellow and red foam papers
Green, yellow and red boxes
Hot glue and stick
Double-sided foam tape
Velcro tape

Cut the tree from the green colored paper and the trunk from the black. Or you can actually use brown, it’s much better. I just really ran out of brown. 😀
Stick the tree to the wall using a double-sided foam tape.
Cut the apples from the green, red and yellow foam papers.
Cut the apple leaf from the green foam paper and attach to the back of each apple using a hot glue.
Attach the velcro tape to the back of each apple and scattered the other side of the velcro to the tree.
Arrange the apples to the tree.
Invite the kids to play.

I told Niko to pick the apples and sort them by color. He did it with excitement. He liked taking off the apples from the tree.

Then came his little brother. Nate loved it. He picked the apples like a grown-up. He even used both hands.

Both boys enjoyed the activity especially Nate. It also helped him with his balance and motor skills.

I love this activity because both boys can join in the fun without me worrying if Nate will put things in his mouth.

Pancake Bunnykins

An Asian mermaid lost in transition.

I live in an enchanted forest at the end of a rainbow. I have a little window in my room where I can see unicorns playing in the grass field at day and magical fairies dancing under the silvery moon at night.

Let me know what you think 🐰
