Disclaimer: Again, this is a late post 🙈
When Nate turned one month, I was still under the Aladdin hype. I don’t want to use superheroes anymore because Niko already did most of the famous ones. So, I thought, why not go with Disney characters. 😀
Most of the materials I used for the costumes are felt. The blazer was sewn by me and I already have the white pants. I stitched a square yellow felt on the pants as a “patch” just like Aladdin’s.
The fez hat, brown belt, yellow patch and magic carpet were cut out from felt.
Felt is my new favorite craft material now. <3

For the belt, I attached Velcro tape so it’s easy to adjust the length plus it will not fall off during the photoshoot.
I assembled the fez hat using hot glue. It was pretty easy to make. I forgot to take a step-by-step photos on how to make it, but I saw this YouTube tutorial and I think it sums up everything. 🙂
The magic carpet was done in a rush. It’s not really perfect, but it doesn’t matter since I’m only going to put it in the bottom part of the photo.

The cut-outs were a bit off because they were really small and the felt was soft to cut. The tassels were made from yellow yarn.
And since I couldn’t find anymore photos of the cake, I used the one from Say it with Cupcakes. (I suggested the design) 😛

Here is the final photo:

Happy 1 month, Nate <3

This is amazing….
Thank you <3
Must have been fun to do this. Nice share. I’m sure other mother’s will be inspired to try this. Cute.
Thank you, Oneta. Yes, I hope too, since doing a monthly birthday shoot is a thing nowadays 😀
